Renee Vaughan performs with a range of musical constellations, from intimate trios to larger ensembles, exploring Swedish, Nordic, and Scandinavian-American folk traditions.  Her current project, Renee Vaughan's Nordstär Ensemble, brings together exceptional local musicians, carefully chosen to match the spirit and setting of each performance. The name Nordstär reflects both our Minnesota roots and the Nordic direction of our sound.
Strings and voice, poetry and story blend together to create Berätta, a new project by Rose Arrowsmith and Renee Vaughan. Drawing on legend, imagination, and movement, Berätta invites listeners into a luminous world of Nordic storytelling, song and music. 
Vårvinder brings a fresh blend of jazz inspiration to traditional Nordic melodies. The group features Oliver Hunter (saxophone), Mattie Snyder (cello), Mary Cait Bayliss (violin) and Renee Vaughan (nyckelharpa)
The McNordiques blend the rich musical traditions of French, Scandinavian, and Celtic cultures into a seamless tapestry of melody and rhythm. With Renee Vaughan on nyckelharpa, Dan Newton on accordion, and Tom Klein on uilleann pipes and cittern, their music takes listeners on a journey through centuries of folk traditions, celebrating the unique charm of each style along the way.
